Bible Quote Jan 19th 1 Corinthians 10:13

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” - 1 Corinthians 10:13

Life means temptation. Everyone is faced with choice every day. That does not mean there is no salvation or that the faithful are destined to be lost to bad choices. But for the Corinthians there was the need for a theoretical limit or proof that makes a faithful person immune to temptation. And that is not how it works.

In making choices, it gets easier for the faithful to make right choices. So in choosing to be married and raise a family, it is easier to be faithful in raising that family. But in isolating ones self and not marrying, decisions become more personal and less edifying. Following God can mean building cultural assets.

But you can lose everything you have built, and still be faithful to God. And still have salvation. God is great.
