The second epistle to Corinthians is probably the fourth letter Paul had sent. He and Timothy had written this letter so as to let Corinthians know he would be visiting them, before going to Rome. Paul would later be martyred in Rome. Here, Paul is advising Corinthians to be reconciled to God. Because Jesus was a sacrifice, without blemish, God can abide our sinful presence and we may act righteously in His name.
