Bible Quote Mar 31st Isaiah 53:3-4

“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.” -Isaiah 53:3-4

Jewish peoples have a different view of this passage than Christians. This passage was written in exile and may be about the nation of Israel suffering and soon to be redeemed. That happened. Christians view it as a prophecy of Jesus. Isaiah was written by Isaiah Ben Amoz, but there is disputation of what he wrote and when. Much was lost by Jews in exile.
